There will be two models available to channel and both with Linux as the dedicated Operating System. eeePC 900 will ship in Galaxy Black, or Pearl White and now offers the additional benefit of 1GB of RAM and 20GB Flash storage as standard.
The ASUS eeePC is the World’s most confident Low Cost Mobile PC on the market with a retail price starting at $499 (GST Inclusive) the device is available in a variety of configurations and colours. in the month of May 2008 will be shipped with a 1GB of RAM upgrade
at no additional cost. The RAM bundle will not affect the Retail
configuration but would ship as a separate stick of RAM, i.e. able to be

OQO Inc. launches the new e2 in Australia
Monday, September 24, 2007– Tegatech Australia, a leader in the Ultra Mobile PC space, has today been given Official approval to distribute the new OQO e2 Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) to its channel of Authorised Resellers. In a move to expand its current relationship with OQO Inc. the launch of the OQO e2 is the first of its kind in the Australian & New Zealand Marketplace.

Audi and Tegatech Australia release Ultra Mobile Solution
Official launch of S5 Coupe assisted by Samsung Q1
Monday, March 07, 2007 -Australia’s only Tablet PC specific Distributor, Tegatech Australia, is excited to announce an Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) success story in conjunction with Audi Australia. When approached by Audi to supply a UMPC based solution for capturing leads at the upcoming Melbourne Motorshow it was Tegatech’s channel of resellers that proved a real asset. Audi had struggled for years with handling leads generated at events such as the Motorshow. This year they were looking to develop a mobile application to automate and digitize the process. “We want to utilize our corporate website to directly capture leads at the show,” said Noel Ryan, CRM and Dealer Marketing Executive, Audi Australia. With that in mind it was up to Tegatech to turn to its pool of 200+ resellers to meet Audi’s needs.
The first stage was to recommend the right device. It had to have a proven extended battery life option, and support resistive touch technology to allow the input of data through the use of one’s fingers. Samsung Australia was quick to support the project, and offer the best solution for this particular need, via the Samsung Q1 UMPC. Audi was able to settle on this device but were yet to complete the entire solution. It wasn’t until Tegatech turned to its reseller channel and developed the Audi branded Software Keyboard.
The keyboard is built using a combination of the latest Microsoft technologies and agile development practices. Dr. Neil, a Microsoft Regional Director for Australia, in collaboration with Tricky Business a boutique interaction design studio in the UK worked with Tegatech Australia to deliver a custom made keyboard solution that took advantage of both UMPC hardware and Audi Australia’s existing website. Richard ‘Tricky’ Bassett, CEO of Tricky Business took a hands-on approach personally overseeing the design of the keyboard using the Microsoft Expression Blend toolkit. Microsoft Expression Blend produces XAML, a markup language used by the new Windows Presentation Foundation found in Microsoft .NET 3.0. Dr. Neil was then able to take the keyboard designed in XAML and place it into a functioning application that was developed in parallel. The core of the application sits on the Windows Shell (the desktop) and uses the Win32 APIs, the frame that hosts the keyboard is written using Microsoft’s .NET 2.0 Framework and the keyboard user interface is developed using Microsoft’s .NET 3.0 Windows Presentation Foundation.
Audi was so pleased with the solution that they allocated the use of the freshly completed solution to the Official Launch of the new Audi S5 Coupe, codenamed Elvis. The Melbourne launch is the World Premier for the car and occurs simultaneously with the Geneva Motorshow in Ginf, Switzerland, albeit with 30 minutes delay, on the 6th of March.
The project has gone so well that Audi is considering use of this technology across its entire dealer base.
